Jim C. Hines wrote Inspecting the Workers while working on a graduate degree in English. He tries not to think about that too hard. He now works for the state of Michigan, fixing computers to support his writing habit…a job that inspired his zombie story Brainburgers and Bile Shakes in The Book of More Flesh. The past year has brought acceptances from Sword & Sorceress XXI, Turn the Other Chick and his new wife Amy. (The last was not a paying acceptance, but Jim is happy nonetheless.)
